It's a Picture Inspiration Challenge

Hi all, it’s time for another challenge at Pattie’s Creations. And this time we have a Photo to inspire you!

Don’t you just love that blue and orange combination? Pattie has a really sweet image that I really wanted to work with for this challenge. It called Tulips in vase and you can find it here. Now I wanted this particular image because I thought it would be just so pretty on a card for my mom for her birthday. But I was in a rush to get it done and totally forgot about it being a photo inspiration challenge….and went totally in the wrong direction with colors lol. So I will be posting that one on a separate posting (oops). This is what I came up with for the challenge.

I colored it with Prisma Scholar and Laurentian pencil crayons and oms. The die I used was my Nestibilities Scalloped Ovals. The die on the back panel is Savannah Border by Memory Box. And I used my ticket punch by SU for the corners. The pearls were from my local dollar store. The orange flowers are by Prisma and the blue one's I made. The style of fold that I chose is a Tri Shutter.

The sentiment was a freebie from TLC Creations.  The small pearls on the leaves are by Recollections.

The rules for the challenge are simple. First, you must use either a digital image or stamp on your project. Use the photo as your inspiration. You don’t have to use a Pattie’s Creations image, but if you do you will receive an extra entry into the random draw. If you don’t have a Pattie’s Creations image, Pattie does, from time to time, post freebies on her challenge blog. Look at the top under Freebie of the Month. You can find the full contest rules here .

Challenges Entered:

Shelly's Images: Terrifically Thrilling Thursday - Anything Goes
Milk Coffee Challenge: Bold and Bright Colors
Chocolate Coffee and Cards Challenge: Bingo (I did Pearls, Punches & Flowers)

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I love it! I am not usually a blue and orange girl but you made it work! I need to try one of these one of these days! I bought the gold flowers on clearance at Target and the blue ones were a freebie from some company when I placed an order! Thank you for the wonderful comments! Miss you! HUGS

BTW the grass on my scene was a die from My Favorite Things. I just cut it out of white 3 times and colored it with 5 different copic colors!

This is gorgeous! I've always wanted to do a shutter card but didn't think I could come up with enough stuff to fill each panel. Love how you did yours.
